Our country Ukraine
Ukraine is a state located in the heart of Europe, a member of European Council.
Before 1991 it had been the part of the USSR and in 1991 Ukraine gained its independence and became a sovereign state.
Territory – 600,000 sq. km.
Population – about 42,000,000 inhabitants.
Capital – Kyiv, with population of around 2,800,000 inhabitants.
Climate– moderate, with average temperatures ranging from –7o C in January and +30o C in July.
Religion – Christianity, Islam, Judaism.
Industry – aerospace,metallurgical, mechanical engineering, instrument engineering, chemical and refining industries.
Agriculture – production of grain, industrial crops and stock-breeding.
