Student Government hostels

According to the laws of Ukraine "On Education" and "On Higher Education" students have a state-guaranteed right to personally or through their representatives to participate in self-government, discussion, resolution of issues of improving the educational process, research work , appointment of scholarships, organization of leisure, life, etc.

In their activities, student self-government bodies are guided by current legislation (including the laws of Ukraine "On Education" and "On Higher Education"), decisions of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Regulations on state higher education, the Statute of the National Aerospace University.

The main tasks of student government are:

- ensure and protect the rights and interests of students;

- to ensure that students perform their duties;

- to promote educational, scientific and creative activity of students;

- to promote the creation of the necessary conditions for living and recreation of students;

- create various student groups, societies, associations, interest clubs;

- to organize cooperation with students of other higher educational institutions and youth organizations;

- to assist in conducting sociological research among students;

- to promote the employment of graduates;

- to participate in solving issues of international student exchange.

Student self-government in KHAI is carried out at the level of the academic group (head and trade union group), faculty (student council of the faculty), dormitory (student council of the dormitory) and the university as a whole (trade union committee of KHAI students).

KHAI student self-government bodies have the general support and assistance of the administration in resolving issues related to its activities.

Now on the rights of student government in KHAI operate:

- 8 student councils of dormitories;

- 8 student councils of faculties;

- DND KHAI (special student body of self-government) and groups of protection of a public order in hostels;

- KHAI student club;

- KHAI sports club.

The general directions of student self-government of the university are:

- involvement of students in activities and cooperation in student government;

- organization and carrying out of tests and questionnaires;

- stimulating and encouraging students who are actively engaged in extracurricular activities;

- providing assistance in the implementation of various projects, plans developed and proposed by students;

- activity of the institute of elders of academic groups, trade union groups, etc.

Specific are:

- activity of the voluntary people's squad;

- activity of student groups of public order protection in dormitories.

Student government in KHAI has a great creative potential, which contributes to the harmonious development of students, the formation of their skills as a future specialist-leader.
