International Summer School
at Beijing University of Aviation and Aeronautics (BUAA),
Beijing, People's Republic of China
Every year, KhAI students participate in an international summer school at the Beijing University of Aviation and Aeronautics, Beijing, China. The purpose of the school was to stimulate the creative thinking of young people and promote international exchange between Chinese and foreign students in the field of aviation and cosmonautics. During the course of study, a very rich program awaits the school participants, which includes lectures, presentations and practices conducted by the most outstanding experts in this field.
Students listen to lectures on the following topics:
- software and networks in aeronautics, astronautics and informatics;
- future commercial aviation and air travel;
- aerospace engineering in China;
- modern industrial technologies of the aerospace sphere;
- composite materials;
- scientific progress in rocketry, etc.
In addition, students have the opportunity to visit the scientific laboratories of the Beijing University of Aviation and Cosmonautics, as well as participate in seminars and discussions. During five sessions, each student gave a 15-minute presentation.
As an entertainment program, students are offered daily lunches of various national cuisines and sightseeing tours around Beijing.

The summer school is designed for students currently studying around the world.
The school pays for hotel accommodation and meals (breakfasts). Transportation costs are paid by the student himself.
In order to register, students will need to download student documents - a certificate from the dean's office confirming your student status or a bachelor's degree and an appendix to it. All documents must be translated into English.
