- to modernize and develop the curriculum by modifying existing/developing new practically oriented modules and introducing them in all universities of the partner countries in the second half of the project implementation as results of KTUs' activities;
- to develop partnership with enterprises and the triangle of knowledge: education-science-innovation.
Areas of activity under the project:
- development of the KTU strategy based on the experience and examples of best practices of EU partners, relying on the tools that already exist in the relevant universities of the partner countries, if any;
- foundation of KTU;
- KTU equipment;
- recruitment of personnel for KTU;
- training of KTU personnel;
- development of certain actions and a business plan for all KTUs;
- development of tools and services for each KTU and their application in real pilot projects;
- development of educational programs based on materials received from enterprises within the framework of cooperation on KTU projects;
- quality control and monitoring of KTU;
- development of a project financial sustainability plan;
- dissemination of project results to all interested parties.
Obtained results:
1. The strategy of KTU is based on the experience and examples of best practices of EU partners, based on measures that already exist in the relevant universities of the partner countries.
2. KTUs were created in universities of partner countries on the basis of already existing relevant centers (for example, technological, innovation centers), which allowed them to build interaction with other administrative bodies of the university, and also make the creation process faster and easier, as well as the use of already created strategies .
3. All KTUs are equipped with basic office equipment and rapid prototyping technology (RPT), in this process they will be supported by EU partners and receive their advice (including technical specifications and feedback).
4. KTU staff are selected according to the specifications and requirements defined by the project coordinator, taking into account feedback from all EU partners and partner countries.
